Gebruder Heubach #1 Porcelain Position Baby, Germany
This is one of the porcelain position babies from the Gebruder Heubach factory. He is approximately 5 inches tall in the seated position. His legs extend outward making him approximately 4 inches from front to back. These babies all have a different character, even those from the same mold, because each artist from that factory had a different touch. This baby's eyes are painted as though he is looking upward and his brother at H-00166 has more of a straight forward look. He appears to be rubbing his rather fat tummy as though he has just completed a big meal and has his legs crossed in a relaxing position. No damage and no repair. Cute as a bug, especially when displayed with his brother at H-00166.
