Antique China Doll as a Fortune Teller, Rare Hairdo with Stippling
This 9-3/4 inch Fortune Teller has many tales to tell. She is not lacking in uniqueness and charm. The hairdo is one of the rare ones with horizontal rows of curls across her head and most unique, a bun created in the center of the rows of curls on the back of her head. She has what some call "stippling" around her face and rather large exposed ears. The china arms and legs are connected to a hard stuffed cloth body. She has her fortunes hidden beneath her skirt. Her wool hooded cloak has a few moth holes. She has a toe chip on one of her black molded boots but otherwise, she is in fine condition, especially when you consider she has been telling fortunes for approximately 150 years
