Vintage 1960s Christian Dior Natural Straw Cloche Hat

Very collectable and wearable “profile” straw hat made with rows of coiled braid, tightly woven of natural straw in a beautiful vintage patina. Narrow brim and high crown wrapped with a dramatic broad 3 3/8” black grosgrain ribbon band that folds into a flat tailored hand-stitched seam in the back. The black ribbon band is also hand-stitched along the base by the brim. A black multi petal flower sits on the brim of the wearers left.

Inside measurement of approx. 21 1/2”. It has an outside rise of approx. 4 ½” . The inside has a cream 7/8” grosgrain band, this band has a little cut clip into it and is slightly worn, which is the only condition issue. However, given this condition issue, this hat is adorable and worth wearing and/or displaying. Please view all pictures.
