An early 19th century book titled "Liberty Bell Friends of Freedom" and containing 30 essays by 30 different principal American abolitionists. Published by Oliver Johnson, 47 Court Street, Boston in 1844. Measures 7 5/8" x 4 5/8". Frontispiece is an image of Lucretia Mott.

The Liberty Bell by Friends of Freedom. Boston Massachusetts Anti-Slavery Fair. 30 authors include James Russell Lowell, Susan Cabot, the Duchess of Sutherland, Lucretia Mott, William Lloyd Garrison, etc. 232 Pages.

This volume has been beautifully bound in green cloth boards with a red leather title on the spine with gilt lettering. Hand sewn. Also bound into this book is a tract on private and public schools in Pennsylvania dated 1846.
