Fine Antique 19th c. Georgian Pole or Fire Screen with Needlepoint
A very handsome Queen Anne mahogany pole screen with cabriole legs and pad feet. Nice turnings on pole support. Floral needlepoint / petitpoint is in great shape. Measures 56.25" tall; framed needlepoint is 20.5" x 15.5". The back is neatly upholstered in cream silk - slight discoloration on the back around the edge where silk comes in contact with wood and metal fasteners. It's so beautifully done I would leave it alone - does not show when on the hearth or against the wall.
