HUGE Art Deco Drum Major Brooch w/ Rhinestone & Lucite VERY RARE

Wow! What a find. This is a really amazing and very large Art Deco period Drum Major brooch, a very rare, early piece. The size is also impressive. It measures approximately 3 inches by 2 inches. This figural shows the drum major marching. The casting is quite wonderful with the frozen in motion effect - a dramatic pose. The amethyst color rhinestone on the face is glass, the very large center faceted pink/lilac cabochon appears to be Lucite, which would likely date this to the late 1930's. That very large cabochon measures 26mm.

The brooch is in good condition. There is some wear on the metal in a few spots. A real vintage rarity and beauty at a great price.
