Antique Victorian Hand Carved Coquilla Nut Sewing Egg

This wonderful Antique Victorian hard carved sewing egg was carved from a Brazilian Coquilla Nut or Palm Nut. The approximately 3" X 1 1/2" egg unscrews in the middle. I believe the eggs were uses as a thimble holder. In excellent Antique Victorian condition with no damage or repair, just light age appropriate surface wear..
