1909 Handpainted Butterfly Signed Germany Pitcher

Signed G. A. Sullivan 09 this 5 1/4" tall, 8" wide pitcher is off white with black and gold detail to the handle, rim and base. The main focus of this striking piece are the six handpainted butterflies in a pale green with highlights of black and gold. I want to call the butterflies abstract and the style Deco, but this is TOTALLY out of my field. There is black paint loss to the handle which I sure would not be a problem to restore. A truly interesting piece with no dings, cracks, chips or hairlines. Signed on the bottom G. A. Sullivan '09 and marked Hohenzollern China Germany . There is also an impressed 5.
