Avon jewelry authority and author Sandra Sturdivant, in her book "Identifying AVON JEWELRY", described this set as "amethyst stones in marcasite."

This is an absolutely gorgeous vintage signed Avon "Elegant Era" Bracelet. Each bracelet link is in the shape of a heart and they are placed head to head with a faux amethyst in the middle of these two hearts. The marcasites add that elegance, that beauty of times of old. This is so beautiful, and it makes you feel so pretty!! This gorgeous bracelet measures approximately 7 ½"-8" ~ closer to 8" ~ long.
