This is a VERY RARE BOOK PIECE that is pictured in Sandra Sturdivant's book, "Identifying AVON JEWELRY".
This is the beautiful & RARE Demi-Parure vintage signed Avon 1969 "Bird of Paradise" Collection. This was a promotional collection given to customers to encourage them to purchase Avon's top selling "Bird of Paradise" perfume products to increase sales. It was produced in smaller numbers, making it rare, AND it was never sold to the public. This collection is in its ORIGINAL BOX that makes it even more extinct!! It has 3 pieces to this collection including a brooch/pin & bracelet in textured, brushed gold-tone and the gorgeous clip earrings, which are also textured, brushed gold-tone, and which have those fabulous large faux turquoise cabochons and . The "Bird of Paradise" brooch/pin measures approximately 3 1/8" by 1 1/2", the bracelet measures approximately 6 1/2" long and just under ½" wide, and the clip earrings measure approximately 1"x 3/4".
This rare collection is in excellent mint vintage condition & looks like it has never been worn or possibly worn very little. There are no indications of dullness, tarnish, or wear and there is nothing missing, broken, bruised or bumped. The box is slightly marred from being so old ~ 42 years ~ sitting in a jewelry box or on a shelf but is not torn.
AND TO MAKE THIS COLLECTION EVEN MORE EXTINCT ~ IT COMES IN ITS ORIGINAL BOX!
This would make a gorgeous graduation present, a gift given to a family member or a friend, or just to enjoy yourself.
