A truly fine example of a hand embroidered shawl. Beautifully worked in a rich and intricate design of flowers and leaves that covers almost every inch of the heavy silk background fabric. The workmanship is exceptional.

Measuring 50" square. It has an amazing 14" long hand knotted fringe that brings the total overall size to approximately 78" square. The fringe, background silk and embroidery thread are all the same matching shade of off white.

In extremely good condition for its age. There are several tiny pinholes and a mark near the edge, both have been photographed.

Practical and beautiful, in a wonderfully versatile neutral colour. This beautiful shawl would be an asset to any decor or textile collection and perfect for use at a wedding.
