This beautiful and unusual brooch is made up of rare Swarovski pagoda beads (sometimes nicknamed potato chip beads) in wisteria color that flash hues of turquoise blue and lavender. Sparkling rhinestone accents add a wonderful touch. This is reported to be a Vendome prototype piece. Marked "Vendome" on the silver-tone filigree backing. Measures 1 7/8" across, and it is slightly domes so it's about 3/8" thick. Condition is excellent. This piece appears in “ Warman’s Costume Jewelry ” by Pamela Y. Wiggins (Krause, 2014) on p. 115.
