Schreiner Cranberry Red & Slate Gray Rhinestone Brooch Pin

This magnificent unsigned brooch is a well known Schreiner design. The style is illustrated on p. 243 of Warman's Costume Jewelry with both signed and unsigned examples side by side. In this piece, the smaller stones are beautiful cranberry red in color. The large marquis (navette) stones are a deep slate gray with a bluish tint. There are extra sparkly round stones in lighter gray hues interspersed around the pin. Measures 2 1/2" across. Condition is excellent with no missing stones and very nice gold-tone plating showing little to no wear.
