This very large brooch, which has a bail so it be worn as a pendant as well, measures about 3 3/8" long and 2 1/2" wide. The decor is a transfer print on porcelain depicting a European man and woman dressed in period clothing. The frame for this lovely cameo shaped brooch is sterling silver. It is hallmarked 950, and it also has a maker's mark that we have yet to identify. There are a few tiny rubs to the transfer print that are only noticeable upon close inspection. Overall condition, including the sterling frame, is excellent with no cracks in the porcelain. There is some soiling on the back of the porcelain in the photo that we were able to remove.
