This antique brooch, also known as a sash pin, was made by E.A. Bliss - the company that eventually became Napier. It features an old style flat back rhinestone in purple set on pierced silver plated metal. It has the flavor of Scottish jewelry made around 1900. Similar sash pins with "C" closures are shown in "The Napier Co." by Melinda Lewis 1900-1910 section. Marked "E.A. Co." on the back. Measures 2 7/8" by 1 5/8". Condition is good for this type of early vintage piece with some patina to the silver plated setting.
