Christian Dior Green Cabochon Rhinestone Brooch

This elegant egg-shaped brooch made for Christian Dior by Henkel and Grosse is comprised of jade green glass cabochons and clear rhinestones in round and navette shapes. It has  domed hook and eye construction similar to Schreiner pieces that imparts a dimensional effect. Marked “Chr. Dior Germany 1968.” Measures 2 1/4” long and has a depth of 3/4”. Condition is excellent with all stones appearing to be original and no wear to the silver-tone plating. This piece was photographed for Warman’s Costume Jewelry and is featured on p. 125.
