This is a superb Victorian oak, curved glass, carved china cabinet from around 1885-1900. The restoration is very well done, looks great and is smooth to the touch. No repairs were done, all is intact and well cared for.
There is an upper compartment/section with a separate carved and shaped door for access. The tall door below opens the main section/compartment. The shelving is original as is the entire cabinet. Not often does a cabinet like this come along and certainly not in such wonderful condition.
The height is about 75-78 inches, width at the widest part is about 53 inches measured 4 inches above the foot. The interior has a full mirrored back. Rope turned columns with reeded lower stops flank the door. Beautiful carved central top crown and around the upper door. Carvings on the lower door as well. All the carvings are intact, nothing missing.
This is absolutely clean and fine with no apologies.
as you shop for a china cabinet remember to look at the details as there are many levels of quality. The prices should reflect such differences.
Item must be crated to ship. This will run shipping costs around 800-850$ to the west coast or new england area. still a good buy for a cabinet of this quality and distinction.
shipping these type cabinets requires crating.
