This is a fine example of early southern wooden cribs. It is pegged and mortised where it should. The wood is walnut with cherry rockers.
It is all original with the exception of a repair I made to one end of one rocker. This piece exhibits the appropriate tool marks and construction techniques of the 1840 period. The frame is not rigid but needs no repair, it is as it should be.
Great magazine, newspaper, cat or small dog bed.
