Sale Sterling Napier bird's nest pin and earrings. Signed Napier 1953, excellent condition.

The pin and the earrings are absolutely delightful. The pin is a nest with a returning bird in flight. The detail on the wings and feathers is very fine. The nest is stylized with just a few twigs intertwined in a circle. The circle is about 2" across. The earrings are twigs in a oval shape. They are about one inch long. The earrings are clip ons . Both pieces have the word Napier and sterling in a raised rectangle. This mark was used between 1922-1980. However I know that this set is from the 50's. It was my aunt's and she purchased it during that time. The Napier company was founded by Mr. Napier in 1875 and was one of the first modern corporations in America. it was sold in 1922 when they began using the rectangle with sterling and Napier.

This piece is quite lovely and with the earrings the set is a rare find.
