This is a lovely Exbor clear crystal vase from Czechoslovakia with a textured, faceted exterior. There is no signature - only the 'Exbor' trademark - therefore I can't attribute it to a specific artist, however, this is an excellent example of later 20th century Bohemian glass work. The exterior has rings of various sized squares and rectangles with a ground frosted facet on half of each surface for an intriguing design and effect. This vase stands 9 3/4" tall, is approximately 5 1/2' in diameter at the widest point, has a rim diameter of 4 1/4" and is a substantial piece weighing nearly 5 pounds. There are minor rubs on the bottom and a very small flake on the top, outer rim. This piece would make a significant addition to any contemporary glass collection.
