Annie Benson Muller 1929 Brown & Bigelow Print of Over the Garden Wall - Eastlake Frame

The colors are beautiful in this framed print showing a sweet young blonde girl sitting on a brick garden wall surrounded by flowers. She is looking at a nest of baby birds. The title is "Over the Garden Wall." It is almost completely hidden by the frame. It was done by the artist Annie Benson Muller. She painted babies and children during the 1920s - 1940s.

Also hidden by the bottom of the frame at the lower left is "©1929 Brown & Bigelow, St. Paul, Minn." and at the lower right "Marion Mfg Co, Inc."

It is housed in a black ebonized Eastlake frame with an incised design and a gold inner border. It has glass on the front, a cardboard backing, with a wire for hanging.

The frame measures approximately 12 5/8" tall and 10 5/8" wide. The rabbet measurements taken from the back are approximately 10 1/8" tall and 8 1/8" wide.

I don't see any damage on the print. The frame shows some wear and the side edges of the frame are an off white color. Since the sides are not finished, this could have been part of a larger frame at one time.
