This is one of four prints being listed by the American artist Charles M. Russell (1864-1926). This is titled "Intruders" and shows Native American Indians watching a wagon train. The vintage prints were published in 1958 by Penn Prints of New York (lower right corner) from the artist's Watercolors of the Old West. It bears the artist's signature in the plate at the lower left.
The artist was known for his watercolors of the Old West - in particular frontier scenes involving Cowboys and Indians. He was also a sculptor.
It is in a black wood frame measuring 13 1/8" tall and 17 1/8" wide. It has glass, a dust cover, with a wire for hanging.
Condition: The frame shows a few scuffs, but I see no other damage or flaw.
A nice grouping for a den or study. If you are interested in all four, we can do better on the price.
