This is a round celluloid image of a young boy. He is holding his cap and looks like he is dressed in some type of uniform. The celluloid image is surrounded by black fabric.
It is in a gold wood frame with designs on the edges, measuring 11 1/2" tall and 11 1/2" wide. It has glass on the front, a cardboard backing, with a wire added for hanging.
The back has the label from Rothschild & Company of Chicago. The company was in business from approximately 1881 to 1923, when they were purchased by Marshall Fields.
Condition: The frame shows some scratches, and there is age related wear to the piece but I don't see any damage. I'm sure the glass helped to protect it over the years.
