This is a folk art painting of a woman named Hannah Hoyle, J. Hoyle's mother. Her name is written on the sides of the wood frame. Her hair is pulled back and parted in the middle. She is wearing a black dress with white collar and black bow. Her portrait is under a black and gold mat with an oval opening.
The lemon gold frame measures approximately 11 1/4" tall and 9 1/4" wide. It has glass, a wood backing, with a wire for hanging.
It shows a little age and the frame has scratches, nicks, and missing paint. Please review all photos. A nice addition to a folk art grouping.
