Curt Teich Linen Postcard 1936 of Statue of Liberty New York City

This is a linen postcard of the Statue of Liberty, illuminated at night, in New York City. At the upper left is 212. At the bottom left is "Copyright by Irving Underhill, N.Y." At the bottom right "6A-H2562." The card was done by the Curt Teich Postcard company and this number indicates it was published in 1936.

It was mailed in 1945. It has "free" written where the stamp would be so it appears it was during World War II. On the back is "Interborough News Co." in New York City, along with the Genuine Curteich Art Colortone inscription.

It shows some edge wear and you can see some of the cancellation stamp on the front. Still a lovely scene with the lights shining on Lady Liberty.

Please email me if you would like to see any additional photos.
