Embossed Print of the Whistling Boy 1901 Campbell Art Co - Wide Oak Frame

This is a lovely embossed print of what is referred to as The Whistling Boy. It shows a happy young lad with his straw hat and bare feet. He is holding a wicker basket and his fishing pole.

At the lower left, partially hidden by the frame is "Copyrighted 1901 The Alfred S. Campbell Art Co. Elizabeth, NJ."

The frame is a lovely wide oak wood. It measures approximately 12 7/8" tall and 10 7/8" wide. The glass is actually built into the frame along with the green and black border, which is unusual. It has a cardboard backing and partial dustcover, along with a wire for hanging.

If you look at the embossed print with a magnifier, you can see some wear to the high points but it isn't noticeable otherwise. I've had this print before, but this is the first time I've run across the embossed version. The glass is older and has some imperfections - small bubbles and scratches.

Please email me if you would like to see any additional photos.
