J.G. Keulemans Bird Lithograph - Rufous Crowned Roller - Borghese Frame

This is a colorful framed lithograph print by Johannes Gerardus Keulemans (1842-1912) from the Netherlands. The bird is the Rufous Crowned Roller (Coracias Noevius), also known as the Purple Roller from Africa.

The print has the initials of the artist in script - JGK. It also has "J.G. Keulemans Lith." and "Hanhart imp." along with the name of the bird.

It is in a lemon gold wood frame measuring 9 1/2" wide and 11 1/2" high. The backing of the frame is brown paper with the red and white Borghese label. It has a wire for hanging and glass covering the print.

I don't see any damage to the print, but there is a small piece of loose paper under the glass. The frame has a few scratches but it is solid.

This is one of two lithographs by Keulemans that I am listing. The last photo shows the pair together.

A great gift for the bird lovers! Please email me if you would like to see any additional photos.
