A wonderfully Folk Art decorated wooden arm rest, used in a church or some other uncomfortable setting. The rest is uniquely decorated with Amish or Pennsylvania Dutch symbols.
The rest was found in western Pennsylvania in a collection and appears to be from the late 19th to early 20th century. The wear is minimal, note the finger notches at the end of the rest, to small for my fingers.
The rest is 16" long x 15" high x 7" wide at base. the rest is 2 3/4" wide, defiantly for a more dainty subject.
