Vintage Americana Folk Art Tattoo Flash Eagle Shield

Original Tattoo flash art of an Eagle and Shield. The art is attributed to Oklahoma Bob and dates around the early 1900's. The colors are wonderful as is the subject. This is true American Folk art. The drawing is 3 1/2" x 3 1/2".

Noted on the back of the art is the attribution.

Attributed to: Oklahoma Bob Not much is known about Oklahoma Bob. Tattoo history in Oklahoma is spotty but it is known that Bob and a person named Leon had a shop at 419 West Grand in Oklahoma City, in the early 1900's. American Indian's practiced the art long before the area was settled. Tattooing was actually illegal in Oklahoma until 2006, however the law was repealed and termed "outdated".

Professionally framed with acid free materials and UV filter glass. The frames are black and gold and the matting is black felt. The signature appeared only once on the flash sheet and we have reproduced it and added it to the flash in the frame. The flash drawing is original. Frame is 8 ¾" x 9 ¾"
