This is a fabulous table lamp made by the Rembrandt Lamp Corporation of Chicago. The Rembrandt Lamp Corporation was founded in 1924 and this would be one of its early models.
The lamp has a brassed cast iron base - the rest of the metal on the lamp is brass. There are three polished agate pieces inserted into the center column of the lamp. The wiring may have been changed at some point, although I'm not sure. The socket looks to be aluminum, so this may have been a replacement, but again, I'm not positive. I think that the lamp shade is original. The only other issue is that the top finial is slightly askew (see photos). The gooseneck is not flexible, but the shade does pivot - the conduit has beautiful detailing on it (see close-up photo). Otherwise, the lamp is in very good condition, both functionally and aesthetically - second hand wiring, however, is never guaranteed, and should be checked by a professional. The underside is marked "Rembrandt Pat. App'd For R 7162"
It measures 17 1/4" to the very top of the lamp.
This is a beautiful table lamp with wonderful construction and style. Absolutely gorgeous accent for the right decor....
