The shell shaped nappy is interesting looking due to its unique shape. I personally think it would be very versatile as to how you could use it. You could use it for your favorite mints, nuts or candy (hard or soft). When passing this nappy around to your friends, I am sure that it will generate lots of compliments.
The marks on the bottom read: "220 Sterling – King's Crown – H – a Shield." Unfortunately I do not know what these touch marks represent. This nappy is footed.
The nappy is 5 ¾" long (from outer handle to outer rim) X 5" (at its widest part) X 1 1/8" tall. It is 2 ¼" tall at the handle. The condition of the nappy is very good with one minor crimp on one of the scalloped edges. There is no corrosion or tears, circa 1930-40's.
