The 14K brooch is dynamite looking. I not only love the oval setting but the inlay of daisies and leaves. The detail is absolutely lovely.
The gold border is plain, yet very tailored looking with a thin roped molding that surrounds the plain banding. The lock is a "C" and works very well.
I can see this brooch worn on a lady's lapel. Certainly no other jewelry would be needed when wearing it, as this brooch truly speaks for itself!
The brooch is 2" X 1 ½". There are a few cracks to the pedals but these are not visible without a loop or magnifier. There is one missing piece on one of the petals but it does not offend me because the overall inlay and image is very, very good. Circa 1880's.
