This antique sterling silver trinket box has a beautiful turquoise finial top. The sterling box has two (2) raised cherubs holding a vase of flowers.
I think this container is most unusual and very appealing to the eye. This container was purchased years ago from an artist by the name of Peter Johannes for $200.00. I recently purchased a number of wonderful items from the elderly lady who has owned and loved this piece for many years.
The stamps on the bottom read sterling in two (2) places and a name which I can not identify. The turquoise is probably from Pinto Valley, Arizona.
The container is just under 1 ¼" tall X 1 1/4" long X ¾" wide. The turquoise top is ¼" tall X just over 1" long X ¾" wide. The condition is very good. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines, circa 1880-90's.
