This sterling silver serving spoon is dynamite looking! This serving spoon was manufactured by the Mt. Vernon – Knowles Co. The reason for using both Mt. Vernon – Knowles Co. is because the logo on the back of the spoon is the "Lion" with the "K".
The decoration on the handle is very busy with the scroll decoration running 3 ¾" down the handle. The raised scroll decoration also runs around the bowl of the spoon approximately 1 ½" on both sides.
The stamps on the back of this sterling silver spoon are: "22 – horse logo – Pat. D. Low – Sterling". There is an old English monogram, possibly "F H".
The serving spoon is 9" long X 2 ½" wide (at bowl). The condition is very good. There is no pitting, dents or cracks. Circa 1892.
