This sterling silver service for eight (8) was manufactured by Oneida LTD., Empire Crafts Corp., Newark. NJ. Originally there were only three (3) patterns under the Royal Crest name, one of which was called "Wildflower". This service for 8 is the Wildflower pattern.
The service consists of: a) 8 dinner forks, b) 8 salad forks, c) 8 dinner knives, d) 8 individual butter knives, e) 8 bouillon spoons, f) 6 soup spoons, g) 16 teaspoons, h) 1 large serving spoon, i) 1 large serving fork, j) 1 jelly knife, k) 1 master butter knife, l) 1 sugar shell, m) 1 gravy ladle, and n) 1 pickle fork. In total there are 69 pieces to this lovely flatware set.
This service has its original storage case. Also included are the original brochure for this flatware set as well as the original polishing cloth!
I think this sterling silver flatware set is delicate looking and the pattern could certainly be used either formal or casual. Personally I love the form and pattern of this service.
The condition of this flatware service is very good. This set was barely used. Circa 1942.
