This bowl is fantastic. I love the image in the bottom of the bowl. The title of the image pretty much says it all: "Preparedness".
There are a total of eight (8) bird dogs gathered together prepared to hunt. Three (3) of the dogs are sitting, three (3) of the dogs are lying down and two (2) are standing. The dogs appear to be on top of a hill, amongst grasses with mountains in the background. For any dog lover this bowl is a prize.
The logo on the bottom of the bowl is green and reads "Semi Porcelain" with a bow and arrow. The letters under the bow and arrow are not totally legible, but appear to be the logo for E.A. Barber.
This particular bowl is early and was made prior to 1900. The color of the bowl is white with a design in brown tones. There are two (2) narrow and one (1) wide gold bands around the rim and one (1) narrow gold band ¼" up from the base.
The bowl is 7" round X 1 ½" tall X 6 ½" across the base. The bowl is in very good condition with normal crazing throughout. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines, circa 1890's.
