This Mucilage cut glass jar is most unusual. The top is stamped "Sterling 116". I think this jar would make a nice addition to any desk set. The jar does not have its brush and chain, however I feel this piece is elegant looking by itself.
The sterling silver cover has very defined flowers and scroll work completely bordering the cover. The base edge of the jar has a protruding scalloped edge which gives the base a wide flair.
The jar is 3" tall X 2" wide at the base. The condition is very good. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines, circa 1880's.
