This Waterford crystal glass decanter is very substantial size wise and weight wise. The pattern design on the base is "Sunburst" with blunt cut diamond over the body of the piece. The composition of this decanter is of high quality flint glass.
I love the starburst base which is ½" thick. The body of the decanter is very bulbous, being 5" wide. The lower neck of this decanter allows one to easily grip the decanter. The rim of the decanter protrudes out from the neck and extends upward 1 ¼". I love the way the original stopper rests in the neck of the decanter.
The etched Waterford mark is on the base of the rim. The original gold and green paper label, with the seahorse logo is still attached. This decanter would make a major statement no matter where displayed – and certainly when used!
The decanter is 12" tall (including stopper) X 5 ½" wide (at its widest) X 3 ¾" wide at the base. The decanter is 9 ½" tall without the stopper. This decanter is in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines, circa 1950's.
