The early piece of lighting is beautiful! It is a rich green color with a heavily pressed design in the base consisting of "waffle" and alternating bands of plain and heavily "stippled" bands around the rising pedestal base. The brass collar dates the lamp to around 1900.
This lamp is striking and would enhance any lamp collection or look beautiful alone displayed on a table or shelf. This lamp is such a wonderful example of early glass, is beautiful in form and design, and is in very good condition! We beleive the pattern name is "Prince Edward".
The lamp, with its chimney, is 16" high. The green pressed base is 7 ¾" high (to the base of the brass collar). The bottom of the base is 4 ¾" wide. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines. The wick is new.
