Vintage Pottery Bowl, Camark Pottery

This beautiful shallow pottery bowl was made by "Camark Pottery", Camden, Arkansas. Camark pottery is considered "industrial artware" rather than "art pottery". From my perspective, whether "industrial" or "art", this piece has great style and appeal. The blue has a beautiful "salt glaze" look to it.

This piece has a soft striking aspect with the execution of craftsmanship and would be a wonderful display piece without any embellishment. Its simple form and gorgeous color would enhance the presence of any room.

This bowl is in very good condition. The "Camark" stamp is impressed on the bottom of the piece and the "Camark" pottery paper label, in the shape of the state of Arkansas, is on the side of the bowl.

The bowl is 4" high X 5 1/4" across the bottom. The opening of the bowl is 7" across. The overall width of the bowl is 10". There are no chips, cracks or hairlines. Circa 1940.
