Oyster Forks, Sterling Silver, Set of 6, Frank W. Smith Silver
This set of six (6) sterling silver oyster forks is lovely. They were manufactured by Frank W. Smith Silver Company. It amazes me how heavy each fork is since they are obviously small is size. I personally like the tailored look of them. They are monogrammed with a "P" in an old English script.
It is most unusual to find a set of six (6) oysters. I would imagine that eating oysters with sterling silver forks would enhance the delicate taste of the oysters.
The forks are 5 1/2" long X 3/4" wide (just below the tines). The condition of the forks is very good. The forks have been used, with some very minor surface scuffs. Circa 1902.
