Antique Sterling Silver Tea Strainer and Holder NSC Keene, N.H.

This sterling silver strainer has a simple style to it but at the same time it is extremely elegant! I like the fact that it has a clear glass drain dish that the strainer rests on. The stamp marks on the back read “NC Co. – Sterling – 37”. The manufacturer is the Newburyport Silver Co., Keene, N.H., 1907-1913. I referenced this information from the book “American Silver Flatware”, 1972, by Noel D. Turner, page 325.

The strainer is 5 ˝” long (handle to handle) X 2 ˝” wide. The clear glass dish is 2 ˝” wide X 1” high. The condition of the strainer is good with one small dent in the strainer itself. I am sure the dent can easily be fixed by a jeweler or silversmith. The glass drain is in perfect condition.
