This sterling silver serving spoon is lovely. The pattern name is “Old Newbury” which was manufactured by Towle & Co. The spoon would be great used to scoop mashed potatoes or any other veggie from a serving dish.
The spoon is 8 ¼” long X 1 ½” across the bowl. The spoon certainly has been used, but the condition is good. There are some scratches in the bowl. The monogram on the handle of the spoon is a “C”. On the back of the spoon are the stamp marks: 1) Sterling – 925/1000 and, 2) the Towle company logo. Circa 1900.
