These two (2) sterling silver serving spoons are very nice and very substantial in size and weight. These spoons were manufactured by Towle & Co. and the pattern name is “Old Newbury”. There is a monogrammed “K” on each spoon.
I can see these spoons being used with any sterling silver service set because the pattern is delicate and definitely not too busy.
The spoons are 8” long X 1 ½+ “ across the bowl. On the back of each spoon is stamped “ Sterling – 925/1000 – and the Towle company logo.” These two spoons are in good shape, with some scratching in each of the bowls, but no dents. I am sure a jeweler or silversmith could buff out the scratches. Circa 1900.
