This artist signed sterling silver pendant is very unusual looking. The pendant is hand crafted and the theme of the pendant is a cornucopia with a flower and leaf crest at the top with cascading leaves and cover over the tooth. The stones on this silver pendant are turquoise and coral. I do believe that the tooth shape piece is bone.
The back is stamped “Sterling” and I believe the other stamp “A. Bahe”, is that of the jewelry craftsman. The sterling silver chain that came with the pendant wasn’t the original chain but I must say whoever put the two together made an outstanding marriage. The chain is substantial enough to carry this large pendant with ease.
The pendant is 2 ½“ long X 1” wide. The age of the pendant is 1890-1900, while the age of the chain is 1920-1930’s. The condition is very good with some imperfections in the bone which I do believe were “nature’s doing”. The patina looks good on the sterling silver and I have not cleaned it.
