Antique: Majolica Footed Shell & Seaweed Fruit Bowl
The Majolica three (3) footed fruit bowl has an interesting form together with a seashore feel. I love the shell motif together with the random seaweed embossed between the shells.
The colors are fun and vivid. The top has a wide scallop edge with extremely defined shells bordering the body of the bowl.
The bowl is 8 ¼” wide X 5 ¼” high. The condition of the bowl is good but with a lot of pitting in the manufacturing. There are also some hairline cracks in the bowl, none being offensive in my mind.
