This pitcher is elegant in form and design. The hand painted flowers are colorful and very delicate. The gold relief around the border of the spout and upper rim enhances the richness of the overall piece. The pitcher has its original lid which is also hand painted with sprigs of delicate flowers and gold feather decorating the rim of the lid. This particular pitcher is a “Richard Klemm” Dresden piece. The decorator’s mark, in blue overglaze, is on the bottom of the pitcher along with the words “Dresden Germany”.
The pitcher is 9 5/8” tall (this includes lid) X 7” wide (from outer spout to outer handle), circa 1888 to 1910.
The pitcher and lid are in very good to excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines.
