Art Decorated Pottery Vase, Vintage
This art decorated pottery vase is absolutely gorgeous. The hand painted tulips are deep lavender in color with spiral formed stems and one (1) unopened yellow bud. The form of the vase is bulbous top and bottom with pinched center. The pottery base is redware with a hand painted tower, the initials "W.M." and below these initials is "Zuid-Holland" (a portion of the "Zuid-Holland" is difficult to read).
I've been told that this vase is called Gouda Pottery but I have not been able to verify that. But it certainly has an art noveau look to it.
The vase is 9" tall X 4" wide (at its widest). It's my opinion the age of the vase is 1920/30's.
The condition is very good. It has no chips, cracks or hairlines.
