This pair of cobalt blue vases is handsome and most unusual with silver decoration applied to them. One of the vases is decorated with a peacock perched on a branch with flowers and leaves. The matching vase is decorated with floral bulbs and sprigs of greenery. Both vases are marked on the bottom “Made in Czechoslovakia” within a circle.
These vases were produced shortly after the country claimed its independence from the Austro-Hungarian Empire.
The vases are 9” tall and 3” wide at the tops and bottoms, circa 1918 - 1920.
The condition of the vases is very good. There are two (2) nicks around top lid and one (1) small scrape on the side, both on the vase with the peacock.
