Royal Doulton Figurine depicting "Falstaff", Vintage
This figurine was made in 1949 & I think his facial expression together with his large paunch gives the impression that he has an “attitude”. He’s a lot of fun to look at. On the base of the figurine the marks shows the typical Royal Doulton lion standing on a crown with the following verbage: “Falstaff Made in England H-N 2054 copyright 1949, Doulton & Co. Limited and a series of Rd. No. last registry # RdN 62/50.
The piece is 7 ½” high and at the middle section of the piece it is 3 ¼’ wide. The base measures 4 ½” long, 3 ¼” wide.
The condition of the piece is very good. There are no chips, cracks or hairlines.
